Kolling Cougars

Mrs. Rosenwinkel is a great teacher! I like her very much!  She teaches 3rd grade.  We get to do a lot of  fun things (like Apple Valley, making bagels, playing games, and going on the nature trail). She is a great teacher! I like her and I hope you do too!

My name is Justin.  I have an online gamecalled Club Penguin.  I also have another online game called Webkinz.  There are lots of people online on those.  I like to collect toys which I buy at stores.  I watch Pokemon every weekday.  I like to watch TV and play my Wii and X-Box360.  I like to play with my friends at recess and we have fun together.  I have a stuffed penguin named Lil’Sleds.  That is all about me.

My dog is Sniffles.   It all started when I was looking at Christmas lights at Alsip. When I wanted to go look at the puppies.  Then me and my mom and sister went to go to the puppies while dad looked at the lights.  So then I saw him. Then I cried and cried and cried. Then I went home with Christmas lights and a new puppy.

In Ohio my teacher’s name was Mrs. Clark.  Here my teacher’s name is Mrs. Rosenwinkel.  In Ohio  the teachers are way more strict.   Also there is more activity here. There is more grades in each school.  Both teachers makes everything fair.  I think both teachers are great.         

Mrs. Pawlak is very nice she likes to help kids too.  She will help you if you are stuck on an assignment.  When you ask Mrs. Pawlak too help you spell a word she says sound it out and do your best.  Mrs. Pawlak helps you in every way she can.

     On May 8, 2009 I had completed Sucess Maker’s Spelling Skills in computer lab.  Then, on May 15  I went to log on to spelling it said I had completed it.  To me spelling words in Spelling Skills was easy, but on some of the words I had to keep doing it over and over again.  Spelling Skills is very fun!

   Kolling School is the best.  They have many activities there.  Usually many kids don’t like school , but they love Kolling.  Everyday we go to a activity.  There are 5 ( music, art, library,computers,and gym).  Speaking of gym we are having an event that is coming up.  It is called Field Day.  You might remember it from last year.  It is sponsored by Jump Rope for Heart and gym.  Kids have the best time of their lives during Field Day.  We are going to need many helpers to make it the best Field Day ever.  Also there is another upcoming event.  It has to do with music and gym.  It is a 4th grade program.  There will be singing and dancing.  4th grade is putting tons of effort into it.  They are willing to do the program.  The program will probably be dedicated to Mrs. Taulman (gym teacher) and Mr. Zak (music teacher).  Well that’s the end of my report, I am Jeannie Lam girl reporter. 

The whole second grade is going to the dairy farm for a field trip.  My class has been learning about farms. My teacher Miss Langton also has been reading Charlotte’s web to us.  The class has to compare the book to the movie.  Miss Langton said it will be a fun trip because you will know what everything is.  I think it will be a fun trip too.  The second grade is going on Thursday May 7.  That is where the second grade is going on their field trip. 

   One mild spring day two days before school ended Rosie’s parents said “Kids pack your bags we’re going Ki Lime Cove for summer vacation a day after school ends.” They were all so excited that Mena Rosie’s brother and Eva Rosie’s sister dashed to pack their cloths and bathing suits. Rosie waited a few minutes then went to her room and packed. She first packed shirts and shorts. Then she packed all her other things. Mena, Eva, and Rosie all finished at the same time. Two days passed. That morning the family woke up at four in the morning because Rosie’s parents didn’t pack yet so they were in a rush. When they finished they put the bags in the car and left right away. They arrived safely and had a great time.

   One day I was at home on my comfortable couch watching Spongebob Squarepants with my sister, Sarah. Then my parents came rushing into the living room where my sister and I were. They were so excited. My sister and I looked at each other in amazement. My parents were never this excited, so we knew that it was something important. They said Sarah and I had to get into the car right away. After everybody got into the car ,Sarah and I said ” Where are we going?” So my parents said” Nothing you should worry about”. After we drove for a really long time, we pulled into a long,narrow driveway that led to a brick house. We got out of the car and rang the doorbell. A tall lady answered the door and told us to come in. She had a beautiful house and  in a corner their was a huge basket filled little puppies that probably had been born a few months ago. Then, I knew what we were doing. We were buying a puppy! We got a cute little yorkie. All of us got in our car and went home with our brand new puppy.
